September Yoga for Stress Course
Each Wednesday in September we are holding a stress reduction Yoga program from 6 to 7pm. Weekly we will teach you various yogic techniques (movement, breathing, meditation, chanting, relaxations) that are proven to reduce stress. We will provide you with take home practices for you to do and reduce your overall stress, from what you have learnt.
The health benefits of yoga
- Stress reduction. A number of studies have shown that yoga can help reduce stress and anxiety. It can also enhance your mood and overall sense of well-being.
- Improved fitness. Practicing yoga may lead to improved balance, flexibility, range of motion and strength.
- Management of chronic conditions. Yoga can help reduce risk factors for chronic diseases, such as heart disease and high blood pressure. Yoga might also help alleviate chronic conditions, such as depression, pain, anxiety and insomnia.
August Meditation for Wellness Course
Yogic Wisdom is holding a four week course from 6 to 7pm on Wednesday nights commencing 8 August until the 29 August.
People who meditate regularly say it provides mental, spiritual and physical benefits, including stress reduction and a sense of well- being. Even some mainstream doctors recommend meditation to help treat chronic pain, anxiety, high blood pressure and other ailments.
Meditation helps you draw attention inward and calm the mind. It comes in many forms, which involves combinations of postures, breathing, sound, visualisations and movement.

Monthly In-house Yogic Teachings

Yogic Wisdom is now holding monthly gatherings for interested Yogis, who want to go deeper on the path of Yoga. We will be sharing various Yogic philosophies and personal development tools for a balanced life.
The monthly gatherings will occur on a Monday from 11am to 2pm on the 23 July, 20 August, 10 September, 20 October and 26 November 2018.
Topics studied will be;
- 23 July – The wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita,
- 20 August – The Yoga view of the self, “Who am I?
- 10 September – Katha Upanishad deeper aspects of being
- 20 October – Exploring the shadow self and its wisdom
- 26 November– Ramayana and its relevance for all ages to follow a path of right action
What to bring- A plate to share for lunch, note pad and pen.
Fee $40 per course – paid in advance at the Yogic Wisdom OR book all five online at the reduced rate (pay for four attend five) of $160 .

July Yoga for Anxiety Course – Fully Booked
Yogic Wisdom is running a Yoga Therapy group classes for Anxiety, this course will run for a four week block . During each class you will be given Yogic Tools, educational information and practices to utilize at home.
Yoga is most effective when done daily for transformation and strengthening the constitution. During each one hour class, the students will learn Yoga movement, breathing techniques and meditations all to assist with easing these conditions. Yoga for Anxiety is the second module offered, and will take place on a Wednesday evening from 6 to 7 pm, each week in the month of July, commencing on 4 July finishing on 25 July . The cost of the four week program will be $80.00. The class will be limited to 16 participants only.
